Transforming Traditions, Embracing Innovation: ISM Concludes Foundation Week Celebrations

ISM, Patna, April 15, 2025: The International School of Management (ISM), Patna wrapped up its dynamic Foundation Week Celebrations today with a spirited display of student creativity, intellectual discourse, and institutional pride. Organised under the able direction of Ms. Neeru Kumari Jha, the week-long festivities culminated in a grand valedictory session attended by the Chairman, Sri Samrendra Singh, Vice-Chairman, Sri Deval Singh, and Secretary, Sri Amal Singh.

The concluding day brimmed with energy as the students’ Dramatics Club stole the spotlight by presenting a captivating skit, creatively depicting the inspiring journey of ISM’s growth and academic evolution. Their performance earned admiration from the governing body members and a packed audience comprising undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Adding depth to the celebrations, an insightful panel discussion on “Transforming Education through NEP-2020” was held. The session featured distinguished academic leaders, including Mr. Rajeshwar Dayal, Head of Computer Applications; Mr. Sudhir Kumar Sinha, Head of Commerce; Dr. Pooja Dubey, Head of Management; and Dr. D. N. Singh, Head of Journalism and Mass Communication. The discussion engaged the students in thoughtful reflections on holistic, flexible, multidisciplinary, suited to 21st-century needs and aimed at bringing out the unique capabilities of each student.

The Media Club marked a significant milestone by launching ‘The Campus Express’, ISM’s very own weekly newspaper, designed to be a vibrant platform for student voices and campus happenings. In addition, the club showcased creative reels chronicling the evolution of ISM and offering glimpses into campus life, much to the delight of the audience.

The Dialectica Club stirred intellectual enthusiasm through a stimulating debate competition, where twenty-four students from BBA, BCA, BA(JMC), and BCP programs formed six spirited teams. Contestants debated on contemporary and thought-provoking topics such as the role of failure in personal growth, passion versus practicality in career choices, the impact of artificial intelligence on creativity, mental health accountability of social media platforms, the pressure of hustle culture on Gen Z, and the relevance of skill-based education over traditional degrees.

The Foundation Week had commenced on April 10 with an engaging interactive session, where the Vice-Chairman, HoDs, faculty members, and non-teaching staff came together to reflect on ISM’s ethos and future vision.

The celebrations stood as a testimony to ISM Patna’s commitment to fostering academic excellence, cultural vibrancy, and intellectual dialogue, paving the way for transformative education.
