National Management Summit & Research Conference 2021

ISM organised a two day 5thNational Management Summit Research Conference (NMSRC) 2021on the theme of Sustainability in Management-Global Perspective on 17 and 18 December, 2021. The main objective of the conference was to provide a platform for the intellectuals, academicians, corporate professional and research scholars to exchange their innovative thoughts on emerging challenges to sustainable management of human society related to new strategies for organisational excellence, coordination between economic and ecological balances, widening economic gap between haves and have nots, consumerism and sustainable productivity of global leaders and challenges for IT in the aftermath of COVID pandemic.

This Conference was inaugurated on 17th December.In session of this witnessed the benign presence of Shri Sumit Kumar Singh, the Science and Technology Minister of Bihar, Honble and Shri Manoj Kumar, Director-cum-Special Secretary, Education Department, Government of Bihar and Director of Higher Education. The function was started with lighting the lamp by Shree Samrendra Singh Sir, Chairman, VC, Shree Deval Singh Sir, Secretary Shree Amal Singh Sir, Director Prof. (Dr.) RK Singh and the chief guests of the ceremony. The Director, Prof. Singh emotionally welcomed all the guests and participants present in the auditorium of the institute.

Including the first day of inaugural session the whole conference was conducted into four technical sessions of HR, Finance, Marketing and IT comprising six eminent keynote speakers, four chairpersons, moderator & rapporteurs and presenters belonging to premier institutes across the country. The participants of the summit could get a great opportunity to be enlightened with innovative ideas of sustainability delivered by distinguished keynote speakers Prof.(Dr.)Arun Kumar, Institute of Social Science, Nelson Mandela Road, New Delhi; Prof. Vijay Kant Verma, Director CRIG-AGU Rabindranath Tagore University Bhopal, MP; Prof.Nagendra Kumar Jha, Principal, VanijyaMahavidyalaya, Patna University; Prof. Anil Gupta, IIM Ahmedabad; Prof.Rishikesh Kumar, Assistant Professor, S. B. Patil Institute of Management, Pune (Maharashtra);Prof.Arun Kumar Sinha, Retd. Prof.& Ex- Head, Dept. Of Statistics, Former Vice Chancellor, Patna University in four different technical sessions respectively. They could also get valuable information on practical aspects of sustainability in management dealt with by Chairpersons namely Mrs. Satya Srivastava, HR Manager; Prof. (Dr.)NawalKishore Choudhary, Former Principal, Patna College, Patna University; Prof. (Dr.) P. K. Aggrawal, Retd. Professor, Commerce College, Patna University; Prof. Abhishek Anand, Assistant Professor, Dept. CSE, NIT Patna.Distinguished faculty members of ISM,Mrs. Pooja Dubey, Mrs. Saanyukta Sikdar, Mrs. Soumya Shukla and Mr. RajeshwarDayal moderated and reported on all the four sessions of HR, Finance, Marketing and IT respectively. Assistant Professor, Raj Sinha, presented the report of the online session.

Teachers, Research Scholars and Students belonging to different business schools across the nation presented their research papers on pertinent topics on the theme of the conference. The institute was overwhelmed to greet Sri SurendraPratapsingh, Vice Chancellor, AKU Patna as the chief guest of theValedictory session of the conference.The concluding session was moderated by Mrs. ShilpiKavita, Domain Leader, Finance Department.The whole programme was conducted by the Secretary of the Conference, Dr. Sweta under the direction of Director of ISM, Professor (Dr.) RK Singh and the administrator Mrs. Neeru Jha The whole programme was wound up with a very conscientious and emotive vote of thanks proposed by Mr. ArindamRoy, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Marketing, ISM Patna.
