MARKETING CONCLAVE

Eminent academicians, teachers, professional; and research scholars as well as students of marketing management shared their viewpoints on ‘Green Marketing in Indian Perspective’ in the Marketing Conclave 2022 organized by the Department of Marketing Management, International School of Management Patna on Saturday, March 12, 2022. Calling for an end to conventional marketing strategy Shri Shailendra Kumar, Sr. Management Professional, Faculty and Trainer, Patna; Dr. Amar Nath Pandey, Coordinator (IT) Nalanda Open University, Patna; Shri Mohit Kumar, Eureka Forbes Limited- Channel Head, Patna; Shri Sarbada Shankar Lal, Co-founder – CreADDA, Mainstream Foundation– Rehab Touch, Patna, enlightened the students of ISM about Post Covid Trends of Green Marketing in Indian Prospects, Digital Marketing an Essence of Green Marketing Implementation, Opportunities; Challenges of Eureka Forbes in Green Environment, Marketing Insight of Post Pandemic Era; Emerging Corporate Responsibilities Including Green Marketing Respectively.

They underlined the problems hindering the truer adoption of the green marketing concept and suggested measures for making Indian consumers and organisational buyers ecologically more conscious in the future. They said that with an increase in green consumerism and with corporate environmentalism fast catching up the world over, companies have started making use of green marketing strategies and techniques. The event, Marketing Conclave 2022, aimed at providing a unique learning and networking platform for the students in identifying opportunities, issues and challenges pertaining to Green Marketing from Indian perspective. It also provided research scholars and professionals a platform to share their research-based reports in various marketing domains

In the inaugural session Assistant Professor, Mr. Arindam Roy, the moderator of the programme acquainted with the theme of the conclave by saying that to maintain sustainability of our beautiful planet earth, postmodern producers, market strategists, marketer and customer must be aware of conscious consumerism. All the guests including Mrs. Prena Gupta, GCI, NCC, were honoured and felicitated with pots of plants, shawls and mementos by honourable Director of ISM, one of the eminent economists of India, Prof. (Dr.) R. K. Singh. Welcoming the guests Assistant Professor Mr. Nayan Ranjan Sinha, Co-convener of this programme and Domain Leader of the Department Marketing, acknowledged the initiatives taken towards green marketing and green budgeting by the Government of Bihar.

A book named Marketing Management: Marketing Practices in 21st Century, co- authored by Assistant Professors of ISM, Mr. Nayan Ranjan Sinha and Ms. Soumya Shukla, was also released by dignitaries on this auspicious occasion of Marketing Conclave. Intending to cater the academic needs of the students of management at all levels, this book consists of six chapter dealing with various concepts of marketing, consumer behaviour, market segmentation, pricing policy, marketing communication and distribution channel, product and its lifecycle, social marketing and consumer protection. Chairperson of the technical Session of the Conclave, Prof. Dr. P. K. Agrawal, acquainted the participants with Sustainability of Green Marketing in Indian Perspectives. Dr. Agrawal keenly observed the views of the paper presenters in the technical session. The paper presenters and participants were felicitated with e- certificates. This technical session was moderated by the coordinator of the programme Mrs. Saumya Shukla. This insightful, informative and prospective conclave came to an end with the vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Arindam Roy.
