Management 5.0 Takes Centre Stage at ISM National Conference

ISM, Patna, May 30, 2026: Under the leadership and patronage of Sri Samrendra Singh, Chairman, Sri Deval Singh, Vice Chairman, and Sri Amal Singh, Secretary, the Department of Management at the International School of Management (ISM), Patna, organized a National Conference on “Management 5.0: Integrating Technology, Innovation and Human Values” in hybrid mode on May 30, 2026. The conference brought together academicians, researchers, corporate professionals, scholars, and students from different parts of the country to deliberate on the evolving dimensions of management in the era of technological transformation and human-centric innovation.

More than 100 research papers were presented during three technical sessions focusing on emerging trends in management, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, innovation-driven leadership, organizational sustainability, human resource practices, ethical governance, and value-based management approaches. The dignitaries also unveiled the cover page of the conference book titled “Management 5.0: Integrating Technology, Innovation and Human Values,” carrying an ISBN and comprising selected research papers presented during the conference.

The inaugural session was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Manish Prasad, Founder of the Training and Development Research Institute (TADRI) and associated with V.K.S.U., Ara. The Guests of Honour included Mr. Gopal Shankar Prasad, Retired Divisional Commissioner, Saran, and Faculty at L.N. Mishra Institute of Economic Development and Social Change, Patna; Prof. (Dr.) Markus Launer, Faculty of Commerce and Social Work at the Ostfalia University, Suderburg Campus, Germany; Ms. Rachna, Company Secretary, BSFCSCL; Mr. Debasis Sahoo, Vice President, Human Resources, Patna Region, SBI Life Insurance Co. Ltd.; and Dr. Niraj Jha, CEO, Hanuman Care.

Welcoming the distinguished guests, delegates, and participants, the Conference Chairperson and Director of ISM Patna, Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar emphasized the significance of Management 5.0 in balancing technological advancement with human values, ethical leadership, emotional intelligence, and sustainable organizational practices. He remarked that future management systems must prioritize innovation without compromising human dignity and social responsibility.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest, Dr. Manish Prasad, highlighted the growing importance of integrating technology with human sensitivity in the corporate world. He observed that organizations in the contemporary era require leaders who can effectively combine digital competence, innovation, and empathy to ensure inclusive and sustainable growth.

The Guests of Honour also shared their valuable insights on leadership transformation, workplace ethics, organizational resilience, employee well-being, and the future of management education in a rapidly changing global environment.

The conference was organized under the academic guidance of the Director of ISM Patna, Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar, Dean and Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Viveka Nand Sharma, Academic Head Prof. (Dr.) Sweta Rani, and Admin, Ms. Neeru Kumari.

The inaugural session concluded with a formal vote of thanks proposed by the Convener of the Conference and Head of the Department of Management, Dr. Pooja Dubey, who expressed gratitude to the distinguished guests, participants, faculty members, scholars, and organizing committee members for making the conference successful.

The programme proceedings were effectively moderated by Assistant Professor, Dr. Shweta Singh, ensuring the smooth conduct of the inaugural and technical sessions. The valedictory report of the conference was comprehensively presented by Assistant Professor, Dr. Shatakshi Shrivastava, highlighting the major deliberations, research presentations, and academic outcomes of the conference.

Delivering the valedictory key takeaways, IQAC Coordinator Ms. Neeru Kumari emphasized that Management 5.0 is not merely a technological transition but a human-centred managerial philosophy that seeks to harmonize innovation, organizational growth, employee welfare, and ethical responsibility. She further stated that educational institutions must prepare future managers who are technologically skilled, socially responsible, emotionally intelligent, and committed to sustainable development.

The successful organization of the conference once again reflected ISM Patna’s commitment towards promoting academic excellence, interdisciplinary research, innovation-driven learning, and industry-oriented management education in the contemporary digital era.
