ISM Patna Turns Creativity into a Voice Against Ragging with Poster and Slogan Contest

ISM Patna, August 14, 2026: Continuing its commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment, the Anti-Ragging Cell of the International School of Management (ISM), Patna, organised a Poster-Making and Slogan-Writing Competition on Anti-Ragging on Friday as part of the second day of its ongoing Anti-Ragging Awareness Campaign.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from undergraduate second-year students, who used colours, illustrations, words and thought-provoking messages to express their stand against ragging. Through creatively designed posters and impactful slogans, the participants highlighted the importance of dignity, mutual respect, empathy and responsible behaviour in building a healthy academic environment.

The initiative sought to take the message of anti-ragging beyond rules and regulations by encouraging students themselves to become advocates of a ragging-free campus. Their creative expressions conveyed a strong message that educational institutions should be spaces of learning, friendship and personal growth, where every student feels safe, valued and respected.

The entries were evaluated by Dr. Shatakshi, Assistant Professor of English, and Mr. Awadhesh Kumar, Assistant Professor of Computer Science, who assessed the participants on the basis of creativity, originality, relevance to the theme, clarity of message and overall presentation. All participants will be awarded official e-certificates in recognition of their involvement in the awareness initiative.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Director, ISM Patna; Dr. Sweta Rani, Academic Head; the IQAC Coordinator; and Ms. Neeru Kumari, Admin, whose encouragement reinforced the institution’s continuing efforts to sensitise students about the harmful consequences of ragging and promote a culture founded on mutual respect and responsible conduct.

Sharing the key takeaways from the programme, Ms. Bhavna Kumari, Coordinator of the Anti-Ragging Cell, emphasised that preventing ragging requires more than compliance with institutional regulations; it calls for awareness, empathy and collective responsibility among students. She observed that creative activities such as poster-making and slogan-writing enable young learners to reflect deeply on the issue and communicate the message of dignity and respect in a language that connects effectively with their peers.

Academic Head encouraged students to become active partners in maintaining a zero-tolerance approach towards ragging and to contribute to an environment in which newcomers are welcomed with friendship, sensitivity and support. She reiterated that a truly vibrant campus is one where every student can learn, interact and grow without fear, humiliation or discrimination.

The programme was coordinated by Ms. Bhavna Kumari, Coordinator, Anti-Ragging Cell, with the active participation and cooperation of the students. The second-day activities added a creative dimension to ISM Patna’s Anti-Ragging Awareness Campaign, reaffirming the institution’s message that respect strengthens relationships, creativity spreads awareness, and a ragging-free campus is a shared responsibility.
