ISM Patna Inaugurates International Conference “Sustainovate 2025” with Distinguished Global Participation

ISM, Patna, July 25, 2025 — The International School of Management (ISM), Patna, commenced its flagship academic event, the International Conference on Global Research Perspectives: Sustainovate 2025, on Friday, July 25, with an intellectually vibrant inaugural session. Organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), this two-day conference brings together over 115 scholars, industry professionals, and researchers from across India and abroad to engage in critical discussions on sustainable innovation across disciplines.

Held in a hybrid mode, the inaugural ceremony was graced by a distinguished panel of dignitaries. Chief Guest, Prof. Sharad Kumar Yadav, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor and Dr. Niranjan Prasad Yadav, Registrar of Aryabhatta Knowledge University. Prof. Yadav joined the event virtually and appreciated the conference's timely theme and global relevance. “Sustainovate 2025 reflects the need of the hour. Integrating sustainability with innovation is not just a theoretical imperative but a practical necessity for building resilient futures,” said Prof. Yadav in his address.

The Guests of Honour included Sri Vijoy Prakash, Retired IAS and Chairman of Atal Incubation Centre, and Sri A.M. Prashad, Retired IRS and former senior bureaucrat, Government of India. Their presence added a unique dimension by bridging academic thought with administrative wisdom.

“The intersection of governance, innovation, and sustainability must inform every developmental agenda. Conferences like this provide a roadmap,” remarked Sri Vijoy Prakash.

“ISM’s initiative is praiseworthy. The dialogue between academia and policymakers must deepen to bring real transformation,” added Sri A.M. Prashad.

Among the institutional dignitaries present were Shri Samrendra Singh, Chairman; Shri Deval Singh, Vice-Chairman; and Shri Amal Singh, Secretary of ISM Patna, who extended their warm wishes and reiterated ISM’s mission to build a robust academic environment committed to research and ethical excellence.

Delivering the inaugural address, Dr. Sweta Rani Singh, Academic Head of ISM Patna and Chairperson of ICGRPS 2025, introduced the theme and objectives of the conference.

“Sustainovate 2025 is a reflection of ISM’s vision to foster interdisciplinary research with global relevance. In these transformative times, academia must lead by producing knowledge that is innovative, inclusive, and impactful,” she stated.

The inaugural session also witnessed the graceful presence of the Convener, Dr. D. N. Singh, and Co-convener, Ms. Neeru Kumari Jha, who expressed gratitude to all stakeholders for their support and collaboration.

Adding a vibrant dimension to the inaugural session, the Students' Media Club of ISM Patna unveiled the first edition of its highly anticipated campus magazine, Look Out. This maiden publication is a creative platform curated by the students themselves, showcasing thought-provoking articles, campus stories, interviews, and artistic expressions that reflect the dynamic pulse of student life. The magazine release marks a proud milestone in nurturing young voices and fostering a culture of journalistic and literary engagement on campus.

Following the inauguration, technical sessions commenced under four thematic tracks: Management, Commerce & Business Innovation, IT and Computer Applications, Media, Communication & Society, Education and Sustainable Development

Esteemed international speakers included: Prof. Monica Prasad, Johns Hopkins University, USA, Dr. Himachalam Dasaraju, Commonwealth, UK, Dr. Muhammed Ashad V P, University of West London, UAE, Dr. Sameer Rahodia, Hannover, Germany, Dr. Abrar Ahmad, AIMST University, Malaysia. 

Two in-person technical sessions were conducted on Day one, chaired by Dr. Soofia Fatima, Dean and Head, Department of Commerce, Patna Women’s College, and Prof. (Dr.) A.K. Verma, Christ University, Bengaluru, Dr. Rajeev Kamal Kumar. The sessions were coordinated by Dr. Sunita, Ms. Pooja Dubey, Mr. Sudhir Sinha, Mr. Alok Utpal, and Mr. Sanjeev Thakur.

The entire session was skilfully moderated by Dr. Neha Jha, Assistant Professor, and Dr. Anas Rayees, IQAC Coordinator. Mr. Abhinav Kumar Jha, Assistant Professor, coordinated the felicitation of dignitaries. A formal vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. D. N. Singh, Convener of the conference.

The Valedictory Session, to be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 2:45 PM, will feature addresses by Dr. Niranjan Prasad Yadav, Registrar, Aryabhatta Knowledge University, and Prof. (Dr.) M. I. H. Khan, Lokpal, MMHAP University and Former Registrar. The session will conclude with the distribution of certificates and mementoes to all contributors and delegates.
