International School of Management, Patna hosted nationally acclaimed event on 15 & 16December 2017 with acknowledging and highlighting the emerging perspectives in the Industrial growth and corporate governance. The two days long, National Management Summit and Research Conference started with signing Overseas Academic Collaboration MOU between ISM Patna and Sol Bridge South Korea. The Exchange Ceremony has opened an international platform for the students of ISM, Patna. The relationship embarks a new avenue in the area of sharing of knowledge capital and exchanging value added information among both the educational institutes.
After the formal inaugural of the National Conference, ISM Patna released its 1st Volume of Research Journal ISMP QUARTERLY. With these initiatives ISM Patna becomes one of the leading Management Institutes in Bihar interms of Management Research andDevelopment. Dr. Praveen Pandey congratulated the management of ISM Patna andappreciated their efforts. He said that for the development of economy and to strengthen theindustries in Bihar, quality research is utmost important.
The national conference aims at examining the major issues and challenges across the industries to bring about the solutions and innovative strategies to manage organizational growth. areas, the aims and objectives of conference was to identify the issues and challenges in the functioning of an organization across the industries, to discuss and analyze the present business scenario of Indian Industries and to explore the best solution and practice to enhance the effectiveness of business organizations across the concerned areas. Inaugurating the National Conference, Dr. Prabhakar Jha, Professor Patna University in his key note speech said that, the conference is the best platform to explore, excel, debate and evaluate critical issues and recommend the best strategy to move forward to ensure success. He emphasized on three key things and said that the era is proceeding and is witnessing a paradigm shift, which demands for change and the change has already begun. As a nation, India is rich in knowledge capital, which is certainly beneficial but the future demands for development in latest technology too. State like Bihar which is slowly transforming from agrarian economy to other source, has to widen its scope and enlarge its vision to adapt the change, which can align with the change in the behavior of human resource, workplace environment and the organizational structure.
Mr. K P S Kesari, President BlA, focused on the innovation. He said that Bihar is witnessing positive change. There are many start ups that took initiative and have started their functioning successfully. The underdevelopment of Bihar is an opportunity for the youth and they need to think about its development. Instead of Job seekers they need to thrive and develop entrepreneurship skills and become job givers. Mr. Vinay Ranjan, VP HR DB Power, reiterated the audience towards the threat and demanded the youth to consider these threats as a challenge and pave new areas of development that can create and generate stable economy of the state as well as our nation.
On 16 December 2017, in the valedictory speech, the Director of ISM Patna, Dr. Jagdish Prasad congratulated all the research scholars who presented their papers. He said that our nation is one of the fastest growing economies, and one of the most attractive destinations for FDI. It is observed that we stand out as a bright spot in the global economy and the reasons behind this is, India’s fundamental strengths: democracy, demographic dividend and demand.
We need to fully harness these strengths. This can happen only if businesses make long-term investments that create jobs and sustain economic growth. Similar condition should be developed for our state, Bihar too. And this can become true, when research scholars constantly work on quality research which may help the industries and the government in formulating suitable policies according to the need of the society and the state. The businessscenario is demanding for a new vision and ISM Patna keeping in vision the demand of thefuture, is driving on the right path of enrichment of knowledge and enhancement ofmanagement studies.
More than 30 professors from renowned educational institutes participated and shared theirperspectives during various technical sessions which were presided by learned academiciansand corporate personnel from different organizations.
