ISM Patna (24 January 2024): The International School of Management Patna (ISM Patna)
proudly hosted the esteemed players of the Patna Pirates, Sachin Tanwar (Captain), Manjeet
Dahya (Vice-captain), and Sandeep Kumar on Wednesday, January 24. The event was marked by
a grand felicitation ceremony, where the players were honoured by the Director of ISM Patna, Dr
V. B. Singh, and the Admin, Neeru Kumari. The PGDM, BBA, BCA, BCP and BAJMC students
of the institute as Patna Pirates Army greeted them by singing the Patna Pirates Anthem. The
players were felicitated with mementoes as a token of appreciation for their outstanding
contributions to the world of Kabaddi.
The gathering witnessed an enthusiastic exchange between the students, faculty, and the Patna
Pirates players, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and inspiration. The Chief Guests, Sachin
Tanwar, Manjeet Dahya, and Sandeep Kumar, shared their experiences, challenges, and insights
with the students, encouraging them to pursue their dreams with dedication and perseverance.
Neeru Kumari expressed her delight at hosting such eminent personalities from the world of
sports. She highlighted the importance of sportsmanship and leadership, emphasising the role it
plays in shaping the character of the youth. She emphasized the significance of sports in the
overall development of individuals, fostering teamwork, discipline, and a healthy competitive
spirit. Extending her gratitude to the Patna Pirates players and management team for gracing the
occasion and motivating the students, she wished victory for the team in the forthcoming Pro
Kabaddi Season 10 to be played between January 26 and 31.
The event concluded with an interactive session where students had the opportunity to ask
questions and seek advice from the Patna Pirates players. The players shared valuable insights
into their training routines, mental preparation, and the importance of education alongside sports.
