ISM, Patna, January 30, 2026: Equipping young management students with essential financial literacy and investment insights relevant to today’s dynamic economic environment, the Department of Management at the International School of Management (ISM), Patna, organised an online expert talk titled “From Savings to Smart Investing: A Youth Investor’s Journey” as part of the Expert Talk Series 2026, held under the leadership of the Vice-Chairman, Mr. Deval Singh.
The session featured Dr. Atul Sathe, Associate Professor at HR College of Commerce and Economics, as the keynote speaker. Dr. Sathe delivered an engaging and insightful address, highlighting the transition from traditional saving habits to informed and strategic investing. Emphasising the importance of early financial planning, he shared practical perspectives on risk assessment, long-term wealth creation, and the mindset required for young investors in an evolving financial landscape.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Director, Dr. Sweta Rani, Academic Head, and Ms. Pooja Dubey, Head of the Department of Management, whose academic leadership continues to foster industry-oriented learning initiatives at the institute.
The programme was primarily attended by PGDM and MBA students, who actively participated and benefited from real-world examples and contemporary investment strategies discussed during the session. The interaction provided students with clarity on aligning personal financial goals with professional growth.
Dr. Anand Kumar Choudhary, Assistant Professor (Marketing), served as the Event Coordinator and Moderator, ensuring a smooth flow of discussion and meaningful interaction between the speaker and participants. He also facilitated the question-and-answer session, where students raised thoughtful queries on investment planning and financial discipline.
