ISM Empowers Students with ‘Cyberstrike’ Cybersecurity Awareness Workshop

ISM, Patna, February 03, 2026: The International School of Management (ISM), Patna, successfully organized “Cyberstrike,” a comprehensive Cybersecurity Awareness Workshop for BCA and other UG students, under the leadership of the Vice-Chairman, Mr. Deval Singh. The event was conducted by Synapse, the IT Club of ISM, under the supervision of the Department of Computer Applications.

The workshop was held under the guidance of Director, Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Academic Head, Dr. Sweta Rani, and Head of the Department of Computer Applications, Mr. Rajeshwar Dayal. Technical coordination for the event was managed by Assistant Professor Mr. Ravi Singh, who also served as a key cybersecurity expert during the sessions.

The program commenced with an inaugural address by Director, Dr. Sandeep Kumar, who emphasized the growing importance of cybersecurity awareness in the digital era and encouraged students to develop responsible and ethical cyber practices. His address highlighted the role of educational institutions in preparing students to face emerging cyber threats.

The workshop covered a wide range of critical topics, including cybersecurity fundamentals, types of cyberattacks, practical demonstrations of phishing attacks, real-life cybercrime cases, safety measures, and career opportunities in cybersecurity technology. The sessions were designed to provide both theoretical knowledge and practical insights, making students aware of real-world cyber risks and defence mechanisms.

A detailed panel discussion was conducted by Mr. Rajeshwar Dayal, Head of the Department of Computer Applications, along with technical experts and Assistant Professors Mr. Ravi Singh, Mr. Awdesh Kumar, Mr. Bhawesh Kumar, and Mr. Ram Lakhan Singh. The panel addressed students’ queries, discussed current trends in cybersecurity, and shared industry-oriented perspectives.

 

The event also featured an engaging feedback session led by Training and Placement Officer, Ms. Neeru Kumari, and Principal, Dr. D. N. Singh, who appreciated the initiative and highlighted the relevance of such programs in enhancing students’ employability and technical competence.

Training and Placement Officer, Ms. Neeru Kumari, congratulated the Department of Computer Applications and the IT Club Synapse for successfully organizing the Cyberstrike workshop. She appreciated the collective efforts of the faculty members, student coordinators, and technical experts for delivering a highly relevant and industry-aligned program. Ms. Kumari highlighted that such initiatives play a crucial role in bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations, while significantly enhancing students’ employability, technical awareness, and career readiness in the rapidly evolving field of cybersecurity. She encouraged students to actively pursue skill-based learning and certifications in cybersecurity to leverage emerging career opportunities.

Event Convener Ms. Tanya Jha smoothly moderated the event. The successful execution of Cyberstrike was led by the IT Club Synapse, under the leadership of President Sidhant Kumar and Vice-President Pranav Roy, whose coordinated efforts ensured an informative and impactful learning experience for all participants.

The event concluded with a strong message on cyber awareness, digital responsibility, and the vast scope of cybersecurity as a promising career path for students.
