The Department of Economics& Finance conducted a guest lecture on ‘Depository Services’. The resource person was Dr. N.S. Bohra, Professor in Graphic Era University(Deemed University), Dehradun.
The lecture was sponsored by CDSL to create awareness and knowledge about various important factors related to investments. Important concepts related to Inflation, Savings and Returns from investments were discussed.Importance of Investment Behaviour was also discussed in the session.
Importance of Mutual Fund and Systematic Investment Plans was discussed. The different advantages of investing in Mutual Funds in terms of diversification, convenience, risk adjusted returns, Flexibility and Liquidity, Tax advantages and Professional Management were emphasized in the session.
The session was made interesting and interactive through various example of frauds and various other incidents related to the stock market and various movies made on it.CDSL digital services and systems for investor grievances were the other important topics of the session.
The session was moderated by Mr. Rahul Kumar Sinha and Vote of thanks was given by Mr. SujayShekhar, assistant prof. and member of the Dept. of Economics and Finance.The session was made live on facebook and feedback was collected from the participants.
