ISM Patna, April 22, 2026: Marking a meaningful commitment to environmental sustainability, the International School of Management (ISM), Patna, celebrated Earth Day with enthusiasm and purpose through a series of eco-friendly initiatives on campus. The event was organised by the Greenism Club in collaboration with the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, witnessing active participation from undergraduate students.
The celebration featured a range of innovative and impactful activities aimed at promoting environmental consciousness among students. Participants engaged in the plantation of saplings, preparation and dispersal of seed bombs, installation of compost boxes, and creation of bird feeders and drinking water pots using recycled and waste materials. These activities not only encouraged sustainable practices but also highlighted the importance of resource conservation and biodiversity protection.
The programme was conducted under the guidance and direction of Director Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar, Principal and Dean Prof. (Dr.) Viveka Nand Sharma, and Greenism Club Coordinator and Admin, Ms. Neeru Kumari, whose continued support promotes a culture of environmental responsibility within the institution.
The event was efficiently coordinated by Dr. Sunita, Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, along with Ms. Swati Savarn, Cultural Committee Coordinator, and faculty member Mr. Satish Kumar, ensuring smooth execution and enthusiastic student involvement.
Delivering a motivational note, Ms. Neeru Kumari emphasized the urgent need for collective action to preserve the environment. She remarked, “Earth Day is not just a celebration but a reminder of our responsibility towards nature. Small initiatives, such as planting a sapling or reusing waste, can lead to significant change when adopted collectively. Let us pledge to be mindful citizens and protect our planet for future generations.”
