International School of Management Patna organised an International Finance Conclave on 17th November, 2021 on the theme “Metamorphism of Financial Services beyond the Landscape.”The conclave was inaugurated by Shri Deval Singh sir, VC of ISM Patna, and Secretary, Shri Amal Singh sir. Assistant Prof. Mr. Rahul Kumar Sinha, in the welcome address, outlined the main theme of the conclave and said that a Hybrid approach to the current environment would require leaders to find innovative ways to remodel their financial state to increase productivity, motivation and sustainability while keeping up with the post pandemic world. The Conclave provided a platform for thought-provoking discussions on pertinent contemporary topics related to finance and sustainability of the corporate world after Covid-19 pandemic. The event brought together eminent academicians, Strategists, delegates, thought leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals and research scholars from several premier Business Schools and corporate sectors across the globe on a common stage to analyse real-world business scenarios, deliberate on their social impact and stimulate meaningful discussions. The conclave gave a golden opportunity to inquisitive minds to interact with and get inspired by these leaders.Guest of Honour, Mr. Ranjan Kr. Sinha Retd.Joint Commissioner, Commercial taxes, Jharkhand,gave an extensive deliberation on principles and practical experiences of GST and its contribution to the Indian economy.
The whole programme was conducted in three panel discussion sessions. The first session was moderated byMr. Rahul Kumar Sinha and Mr. SujayShekhar was in offline mode, in which keynote speakers, Dr. Alok John Director, Mother Veronica Excellence and Innovation Centre, Patna Women’s College, Patna, Bihar;Prof (Dr.) Soofia Fatima, Head, Department of Commerce & Dean, Faculty of Commerce, Patna Women’s College, Patna and Prof (Dr.) Anwar Imam,senior professor in the department of Economics, VKSU, Bihar delivered his views on challenges and opportunities in financial services in the current economic scenario after covid-19.
While the other two post lunch sessions were conducted in online mode. The third session moderated by Mr.SujayShekhar and Mr.Rahul Kumar Sinha had insights and learnings from banking, insurance and finance industry leaders presented by Mr. Shailendra SinghManaging Director & CEO, BOB Financial Solutions Ltd, Mumbai, Maharashtra; Mr. Kamal Bansal, Director, Bonanza Corporate Solutions, Mumbai, and Mr. Shailendra KumarCFO and Head of research Narnolia Securities, Mumbai.
At the end of the conclave under the coordination of Ms.SaanyuktaSikdar and Mr.RahulKr.Sinha, some selected papers were presented by scholars of several colleges and universities across the nation, and presenters were also felicitated with certificates and awards. The conclave was concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Ms. ShilpiKavita, Convener of the programme and Domain Leader of the Department of Economics and Finance, ISM Patna.
