ISM, Patna, April 24, 2025: The Department of Computer Applications at the International School of Management (ISM), Patna, took a significant leap toward bridging the gap between academia and emerging industry trends by organising an Interactive Session-cum-Workshop on the theme “Application of Data Visualization Tools and AI-driven Machine Learning Technologies in the Field of Management & Data Science.”
Held on April 24, 2025, the session brought together curious minds and future tech leaders from the BCA and third-year Management programs. The session was designed to empower students with contemporary insights and practical exposure to technologies reshaping the digital and managerial landscape. The workshop was convened and meticulously coordinated by Prof. Rajeshwar Dayal, Head of the Department of Computer Applications, who envisioned this event as a strategic initiative to expand students’ professional acumen.
The session was led by Dr. Md. Shams Raza, a Google-certified expert in Data Analysis and Associate Faculty in the Department of Computer Science at V.K.S.U., Aara. With an illustrious academic and administrative background—including his tenure as the Former Regional Vice President of Region-II, Computer Society of India, and Ex-PIC of IGNOU’s Computer Program, Dr. Raza brought rich, real-world perspectives to the discussion.
In a dynamic presentation, Dr. Raza delved into the real-time applications of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in data-driven decision-making. He also demonstrated the transformative role of data visualisation tools such as Tableau and Power BI in interpreting complex data with clarity and actionable insight—skills increasingly vital across industries.
What set this workshop apart was its strong interdisciplinary approach. Emphasising the integration of cutting-edge technologies in management practices, Dr. Raza highlighted how AI-powered analytics and visualisation techniques are redefining business intelligence, customer behaviour modelling, supply chain forecasting, and risk assessment in modern enterprises. From predictive analytics to pattern recognition in large datasets, students were introduced to frameworks that will become essential as they step into competitive business environments.
The session was graced by Dr. D. N. Singh, Principal of the Institute, who, along with the HoD, felicitated Dr. Raza for his valuable contribution. The presence of all faculty members from the Department of Computer Applications added to the session's interactive nature. The session was wrapped up with the Vote of thanks proposed by Assistant Professor, Mrs. Richa Verma.
