Constitution Day Celebration at ISM

On Saturday, 26 November, 2022, under the guidance Professional Economist, Director, Professor (Dr.) R. K. Singh, International School of Management organised a function in its Mahatma Gandhi auditorium to celebrate the Constitution Day of India and mark 73 rd Anniversary of adoption of India’s Constitution.

Earlier in the morning, the celebration was initiated with pledge taken by reciting Preamble of the Constitution of India by all the students along with their teachers and non-teaching members. More than twenty-five First Semester BBA, BCA, BCP and BA (JMC) students participated in speech, poetry, singing and dance competitions very enthusiastically. An eminent Constitutional expert, Dean of Chanakya Law University, Professor, S. C. Roy was the Keynote speaker at the event. In his welcome address, Prof. Singh said, “This celebration is intended to make youths aware of their rights and duties as conscientious citizens abiding by the constitution of India.” Addressing the gathering, Professor Roy, credited the Constitution for the progress of the country governed by strong, independent democratic institutions; and for creation of an ecosystem which provides meaningful freedom for realization of true potential of an individual. Enlightening the students about the main features of constitution he also deliberated on Equality before law and Freedom to speech as soul of the Constitution, Respect for Human Rights and Fundamental Duties to avail Fundamental Rights enacted in the Constitution. 


At the end of the celebration the participants who scored First, Second and Third in speech, poetry, singing and dance; and anchors of the programme Swati and Ujjwal, were felicitated with mementoes by all the dignitaries present at the event. ISM Miss and Mr. Fresher were also especially felicitated with shawl by Director sir. All the participants were selected and coordinated by Admin, Miss Neeru Kumari Jha and Chairperson of the Cultural Committee, Miss Shilpi Kavita. This programme was completely planned and executed by the Director with active coordination of the First Semester students.
