Convocation-2022

PATNA: Nalanda University Vice-Chancellor, Prof Sunaina Singh, conferred degrees to graduating 2020-22 batch PGDM students of International School of Management (ISM), Patna at a convocation ceremony here on Saturday, July 23, 2022.

Prof Sunaina Singh, who was the chief guest on the occasion, also gave away the prize for outstanding performance during the academic session to Nidhi Singh. She also felicitated Sonal Sandhya, Simran Kumari and Nidhi Singh who topped in HR, Finance and Marketing streams.

In her convocation address, Prof Singh complimented the graduating students and also congratulated their parents and ISM faculty members for their dedication and sacrifices.

She said the occasion also called for “huge responsibilities on the future managers”.

“You are embarking on a new journey. Think carefully where you are headed for and mark it with a quest for yourself. Honour the values that you have learnt. The value system will come to your help in facing the challenges ahead,” she said.

“This apart, learn to build relationships, develop critical thinking skills, make an idea basket and create a knowledge tool box for yourself for fix your problems,” she said emphasising on the concept of having an idea basket.

Prof Singh also complimented ISM chairman, Mr Samrendra Singh, Vice-Chairman Mr Deval Singh, Secretary Mr Amal Singh and Director Prof (Dr) RK Singh, for making ISM a centre of excellence. It is not easy to set up an educational institution and keep developing it,” she added.

Earlier, on ISM director, Prof (Dr) RK Singh, on behalf of the ISM chairman Mr Samrendra Singh, who was not present due to unavoidable circumstances, declared the convocation open.

The event began with paying floral tributes to ISM founder, Late Mr Tarkeshwar Singh, and lighting of the ceremonial lamp.

In his address, Prof (Dr) RK Singh wished the graduating students all the best for their future endeavours.

He also introduced the chief guest to the audience as “icon of higher education” and recalled her contributions in rebuilding the Nalanda University. The director also hoped that in future ISM could also enter into some collaborations with Nalanda University.

He also expressed his gratitude to the ISM chairman, calling him an ardent promoter of education in Bihar.

Prof (Dr) RK Singh also administered the convocation pledge to the graduating PGDM students.

The event was anchored by Ms Shilpi Kavita while Dr DN Singh proposed the vote of thanks.
