The International School of Management, Patna organised its 13th Annual Convocation to honour and celebrate the remarkable achievements of the 2021-23 PGDM students. The convocation witnessed esteemed guests, dignitaries, and faculty members come together to commemorate the successful completion of the academic journey of these budding professionals. The event, held on Saturday, 14 October, was graced by the presence of distinguished personalities, including the Chief Guest, Zonal Manager and Deputy General Manager, Bank of India, Patna Zone, Mr. Rajesh Kumar, Honourable Chairman, ISM, Patna, Sri Samrendra Singh, Vice-Chairman, Sri Deval Singh, Secretary, Sri Amal Singh, and Director, Dr. Vijay Bahadur Singh, Training and Placement Officer, Ms. Neeru Kumari Jha.
The programme started with the procession march of domain leaders, faculty members and graduated students led by the Director of the Institute. Observing the traditional Indian dress code decided for this convocation all the participants were adorned in beige colour Khadi Kurta, Pyjama and Sari with orange Safa and stall. After the invocation and lighting of the lamp, the convocation was declared open by the Chairman of the institute.
In his convocation address, Mr. Rajesh Kumar, enlightened students about the academic significance of convocation and the role of any institute in achieving the supreme goal in their lives. He also highlighted some key organisational behaviours like the use of competence, perseverance, determination, consistency in achieving targets, and best performance in given resources of an organisation to excel in the corporate world after their academic journey at ISM. He encouraged the graduates to leverage their knowledge and skills to drive positive change and foster innovation in the workplace.
The Chairman commended the graduates for their persistence and determination in achieving academic success. He encouraged them to embrace the challenges ahead and make meaningful contributions to society and the business world.
Extending congratulations to the graduates, the Director said, “The ISM family is delighted to inform you that almost 100 per cent of our graduates have been successfully placed in reputed organizations across diverse sectors. We are deeply grateful to our esteemed recruiters for recognizing the potential of our graduates. This impressive placement achievement has been attributed to the academic rigour and the extensive training provision of the placement cell of our institute. We are proud that our graduates are stepping into the corporate world being well-prepared under the guidance of our experienced faculty members and poised to make meaningful contributions to their respective organizations.” He encouraged them to maintain the values and ethics instilled by the institution. He urged them to embrace leadership roles responsibly and make a difference in their respective fields. He also extended his best wishes to the graduates for a successful and fulfilling professional journey ahead.
Three toppers of major subjects, Alok Kumar Sinha, Finance, Somnath, HR and Intekhab Mallik, Marketing were felicitated with mementoes and other pass-outs were awarded degrees by the Chairman, Chief Guest, Director and Secretary. The Training and Placement Officer, Ms. Neeru Kumari Jha made the students recite a pledge of allegiance. The whole programme was coordinated and moderated by the Domain Leader of the Department of Economics and Finance, Ms. Shilpi Kavita.
