In true sense, Management study is a bouquet of well planned curriculum along with different activities for the overall personality development of the students. Right from under graduation to post graduation, a young aspirant who is willing to shape up career, will always look for the opportunities which indeed demands for regular practice and participation, which helps in gaining knowledge other than the prescribed syllabus either of the university or any other governing body.
ISM Meet, a two day event organized by International School of Management, Patna for its students of UG and PG, is an excellent platform provided to the students to work on their life skills other than the classroom studies. It is an effort put by the management of ISM Patna to inbuilt in the students the art of Managing - time, stress, team, skills. In the competitive world, one has to break the silos and believe in working with a team. The event can be attributed to skills they learn such as better time management to accommodate their interests and class activities, better organizational skills and a boost in their self-esteem. The ability to manage team can be well adhered when applied in life - either by participating in sports or other group activities.
The students of PGDM final year along with few volunteers of PGDM first year, organized sports, cultural and academic events for the students of UG and PG. To keep up the spirit high and to motivate students, the meet started with a friendly match of Kabbadi. Proper provisions were made so that maximum students could participate in various competitions, to make the event successful and meaningful. Indoor and outdoor games like Chess, Caroms, Table Tennis, Cricket, Volley Ball, Badminton, etc. were organized.
Studies have shown that students who participate in extra & co-curricular activities are not only good in academics but also in tackling situations in day-to-day life. Every student wishes to score and attain better grades but the fact is, only grades can never help any student to pave the way of success and bright career. They need to polish their soft and behavioral skills. Also, have to work on developing their physical and mental caliber. At ISM special attention is given to ingrain three Cís in each student - Confidence, Communication, & Conceptual Knowledge. Management Quiz, Extempore, Elocution, Essay Writing were few competition through which the development of these three Cís in the students are measured and those who excel are awarded.
At the end, to bid good bye to the year 2017, students participated in a colorful cultural program which included Singing, Dancing, and many more.
ISM Meet on 22 and 23 December 2017 ended with prize distribution. Over 80 students bagged gold medals. Certificate of Appreciation from the Ministry of Information and Technology, India was also awarded to the students of PGDM first year for their participation and commendable job done in order to create Mass Awareness on E-Waste.
