Often when a student sits for an interview process, he/she is shortlisted and recruited on the basis of his/her Employability skills. These are the set of skills which every employer wish to see in his/her hired employee. Broadly, there are ten employability skills, namely communication skills, problem solving and critical thinking skills, computing skills are few out of the list of ten.
Well, ISM Patna as an education institute believes in not only nurturing its enrolled students with these skills, rather tries to generate awareness among the students related to employability skills and what is to be done to augment these skills along with regular curriculum. With this motto, on 2nd December 2016, Ganga Devi Mahila Mahavidyalaya organized a lecture session on the topic Employability skills. The lecture was delivered by the well known corporate and soft skills trainer cum the faculty of ISM Patna, Prof. Neeru Kumari Jha.
The lecture was attended by the Proctor & Principal, Mani Bala, of Ganga Devi Mahila Mahavidyalaya along with the faculty members of Arts, Science and Psychology departments. Prof. Jha emphasized the significance of employability skills, and how through day-to-day practice, the youth can gain strong command over the skills are can make them confident and eligible for placement.
Over 50 students participated in this lecture. They were excited to know the about the required employability skills as well as the tips to enrich these skills.
